Congrats Sarah and Matthew
Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick and their son welcome twins into their family from a surrogate mother. The twins are named Marion and Tabitha...the family looks happy and proud.
I Changed My Mind
The other day I endorsed or at the very least implied a suggestion to watch the new reality series "Tiny and Toya" but after reading article below re: Tiny and Toya's daughters and what they allowed them to do I retract any endorsement or implication! Read why below.
According to upset parents, the youngsters gyrated onstage as Wayne rapped his tune “I Want To F*ck Every Girl in the World” — or whatever the name of the track is.
As most of you know, the group’s lead singer is Zonnique, 12, daughter of Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. The other three members are Reginae Carter, 9, Wayne’s daughter with Antonia Carter who stars on Tiny & Toya (which premieres on BET tonight at 10pm); Bahjah Rodriguez, who turns 12 in August, and her sister Lourdes Rodriguez, who turns 11 in September.
Earlier this month, I spoke with Shamra Rodriguez, the proud mother of Bahjah and Lourdes, who told me that Bahjah’s father, Jonathen “John-John” Rasboro (of the R&B group Silk), was not aware of his daughter’s Atlanta audition with the group.
In this post I told you that Bahjah was in tears because her dad was a no-show at the audition. But Shamra did reveal that “John-John” is a deadbeat dad with at least 7 other kids spread around the U.S.
Shamra said “John John” was jailed earlier this year for a month for his refusal to pay child support for Bahjah.
A few loyal readers emailed me after the 2009 BET Awards with their shocked reactions to the Lil Wayne performance. In a post on Momlogic.com, Dr. Janet Taylor, who has two teenage daughters of her own, asked, “Why are we as women and mothers passively allowing our young girls to be utilized as sexual entertainment?”

I don’t have a problem with Lil’ Wayne, he is creative and his writing is brilliant at times. However, his song “Every Girl” is offensive and disturbing. Here are the shocking lyrics, read them with caution. Perhaps, they are what our kids are used to. I have teenagers, girls no less, who have heard the song and like it. My problem was the preteens who were proudly on stage, shaking their groove thang to this misogynistic, disrespectful song.
It was ridiculous. Debra Lee, the CEO of BET, also the mother of two children, should be asking herself who approved this and how these young girls were allowed to be a part of this “act”.
It is time for perspective here. In the minutes that were wasted on stage during this song, almost four women were forcibly raped in the United States. The age group 13-17, that these young “dancers” belong include the highest victims of forcible rate at 32%. Another Form of Mass Destruction...
Fans of MICHAEL JACKSON have been hit hard by the star's death - 12 devotees have allegedly killed themselves following the tragic news.The King Of Pop passed away on Thursday (25Jun09) from a cardiac arrest and millions of his fans worldwide went into mourning. But several of them found it too hard to cope and subsequently ended their own lives, according to the founder of an online Jackson fanclub. Gary Taylor, president and owner of MJJcommunity.com, says, "I know there has been an increase (in deaths), I now believe the figure is 12. It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this. He would want them to live. "They (fans) can't accept it, they feel in some sort of different reality. I'm stunned that he's dead. One minute he is coming here for concerts and the next he is gone. I think the funeral will be where the reality kicks in that he is gone and won't be coming back, there will be a huge depression in the fan community when that happens." And Jackson's political activist pal Reverend Jesse Jackson has even recorded a message to his fans, urging them not to "self-destruct" in the wake of the singer's demise. Jesse Jackson says, "This is a time when hearts are heavy. There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael's life. It made Michael happy saying 'We Are The World'. Don't self-destruct. We fall down sometimes, we get back up. That's the right thing to do. In Michael's name let's live together as brothers and sisters and not die apart as fools." Thousands of Jackson fans are planning a vigil on 13 July (09) at the O2 Arena in London where the star was due to kick off his 50-date comeback tour.

A Miracle
SAN'A, Yemen - A passenger jet carrying 153 people crashed into the Indian Ocean in bad weather early Tuesday while trying to land at the island nation of Comoros. Officials said one child was plucked alive from the sea.
The Airbus 310 operated by Yemenia was flying the last leg of a journey taking passengers from Paris and Marseille to Comoros via Yemen. Most of the passengers were from Comoros, returning from Paris. Sixty-six on board were French nationals.
The rescued child was 5 years old and the flight also carried at least three babies, Yemeni civil aviation deputy chief Mohammed Abdul Qader said. He said the flight data recorder had not been found.
A Yemeni aviation official said there were also nationals from Canada, Comoros, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Morocco, the Palestinian territories, the Philippines and Yemen on the plane.
'Strong wind and high seas'Reuters reported that five bodies were retrieved along with debris from the plane.
Mohammad al-Sumairi, deputy general manager for operations at airline Yemenia, told Reuters that "weather conditions were rough" at the time of the crash with "strong wind and high seas" reported.
"The wind speed recorded on land at the airport was 61 kph (38 mph)," al-Sumairi said.
The Comoros is an archipelago of three main islands situated about 1,800 miles south of Yemen, between Africa's southeastern coast and the island of Madagascar.
Gen. Bruno de Bourdoncle de Saint-Salvy, the senior commander for French forces in the southern Indian Ocean, said the Airbus 310 crashed in deep waters about 9 miles north of the Comoran coast and 21 miles from the Moroni airport.
French aviation inspectors found a "number of faults" during a 2007 inspection of the plane that went down, French Transport Minister Dominique Bussereau said on i-Tele television Tuesday. He said the jet had not flown to France since.
An Airbus statement said the plane that crashed went into service 19 years ago, in 1990, and had accumulated 51,900 flight hours. It has been operated by Yemenia since 1999. Airbus said it was sending a team of specialists to the Comoros.
The A310-300 is a twin-engine widebody jet that can seat up to 220 passengers. There are 214 A310s in service worldwide with 41 operators.
Christophe Prazuck, French military spokesman, said a patrol boat and reconnaissance ship were being sent to the crash site as well a military transport plane. The French were sending divers as well as medical personnel, he said.
According to Paris Airports press service, 67 of the passengers on board the Airbus 310 had flown from France on Monday on an Airbus 330.
Most of them were from the French city of Marseille, which has a large Comoros community and where the plane briefly landed to pick up more crew and passengers.
French television showed pictures of friends and relatives of the passengers weeping at Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport, many of them railing at the airline.
A crisis center had also been established in Marseille, according to Stephane Salord, the consul general of the Comoros in the Provence-Alps-Cote d'Azur region of France.
"There is considerable dismay," Salord said. "These are families that, each year on the eve of summer, leave Marseille and the region to rejoin their families in the Comoros and spend their holidays."
In France, this week is the start of annual summer school vacations.
Yemenia airline officials say the 11-member crew was made up of six Yemenis, including the pilot, two Moroccans, one Indonesian, one Ethiopian and 1 Filipino. The officials asked that their named not be used because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
It is the second Airbus to plunge into the sea this month, following an Air France Airbus A330-200 that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean killing 228 people on board on June 1. A preliminary report on that crash is due on Thursday.

Does the Press Understand What R.I.P Means?
Michael Jackson's long time nanny, has sold him out already...she told a British tabloid that she regularly had to pump Michael's stomach because of his frequent overdoses on prescription drugs. Grace also told the tab that sometimes she had to keep the children away from Michael for days at a time because he would be too high and unkempt. Grace worked for Michael for over a decade and had been fired in the last two months, but she had been fired and rehired many times over the years. At one time in 2007 [click here] rumors ran wild that Grace and Mike had married, but it was not true.
Nothing but the Truth!
Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson's two oldest children, has told a British tabloid that she will not be seeking custody of Prince Michael or Paris Katherine admitting, "I was never a good mother, I never felt any attachment to them. It was a better feeling giving them to him than it was keeping them as my own. I know I will never see them again. I was never cut out to be a mother - I was no good. I don't want these children in my life. My children are my animals now." Debbie explained that, "Michael was divorced, lonely and wanted children. I was the one who said to him, 'I will have your babies'. I offered him my womb - it was a gift. It was something I did to keep him happy. I was just the vessel. It wasn't Michael's sperm." Debbie explained the arrangement revealing, "I went to the 'office', which is what we called the medical clinic. They impregnated me. It's just like I impregnate my mares for breeding. It was very technical. Just like I stick the sperm up my horse, this is what they did to me. I was his thoroughbred."

He Knew by Lisa Marie Presley
Lisa Marie Presley just posted a blog on her MySpace Celebrity page about the sudden and untimely death of her friend and ex-husband, Michael Jackson.
It’s long but touching and insightful. Please do read it.
He Knew.
Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general.
I can’t recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death.
At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, “I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did.”
I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.
14 years later I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears.
A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn’t predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened.
The person I failed to help is being transferred right now to the LA County Coroners office for his Autopsy.
All of my indifference and detachment that I worked so hard to achieve over the years has just gone into the bowels of hell and right now I am gutted.
I am going to say now what I have never said before because I want the truth out there for once.
Our relationship was not “a sham” as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a “Normal life” found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.
I wanted to “save him” I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened.
His family and his loved ones also wanted to save him from this as well but didn’t know how and this was 14 years ago. We all worried that this would be the outcome then.
At that time, In trying to save him, I almost lost myself.
He was an incredibly dynamic force and power that was not to be underestimated.
When he used it for something good, It was the best and when he used it for something bad, It was really, REALLY bad.
Mediocrity was not a concept that would even for a second enter Michael Jackson’s being or actions.
I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.
I was in over my head while trying.
I had my children to care for, I had to make a decision.
The hardest decision I have ever had to make, which was to walk away and let his fate have him, even though I desperately loved him and tried to stop or reverse it somehow.
After the Divorce, I spent a few years obsessing about him and what I could have done different, in regret.
Then I spent some angry years at the whole situation.
At some point, I truly became Indifferent, until now.
As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.
Any ill experience or words I have felt towards him in the past has just died inside of me along with him.
He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together.
I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now.
He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be.
I also hope that anyone else who feels they have failed to help him can be set free because he hopefully finally is.
The World is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right.
I really needed to say this right now, thanks for listening.

Mercy Me....
Again I will admit to being enlighten with this story as well. At first I was opposed to Madonna adopting another African child but then I was on fellow blog sites and noticed a lot of commenter's were going really hard on her even going so far as saying Mercy is not cute, so far from the truth, which from this picture and thinking more outside the box made me realize that Madonna isn't doing this for publicity but more so in my opinion to provide that much more of a balance in her home. Did anyone stop to think that Madonna would like for David to have a sister of color much like himself….granted it may seem odd but if you eliminate your own biased views about someone else's life you may be able to have an open mind about it…and I open mindedly think that Madonna did this for David as well as herself and the rest of her family.
Anyway Congratulations Madonna and family enjoy getting to know your new sister.

The convicted swindler was sentenced to 150 years in prison for his multibillion-dollar fraud scheme.
Over ten victims spoke in court and several hundred spectators were on hand to watch justice be served.
Madoff’’s lawyer asked for a 12-years sentence, but told the court that Madoff expected “to live out his years in prison.”
Afterwards, Madoff made a statement. Among the excerpts:
– “I dug myself deeper into a hole” as the fraud scheme progressed.”
– “I cannot offer you and excuse for my behaviour, how can you excuse betraying thousands of investors.”
– “I don’t ask for any forgiveness. I did not intend to do any harm, but I did a great deal of harm I made an error of judgment. I could not accept the fact that for once in my life I failed.”
– “I left a legacy of shame.”

A Duke University official has been charged in federal court with offering his 5-year-old adopted son up for sex. Frank Lombard, associate director at the university's Global Health Institute, was arrested Wednesday in Raleigh, the FBI said.

An unidentified informant who already faces child porn charges in a different child sex case pointed investigators to Lombard, according to court documents. The informant told investigators he had met Lombard on the Internet four years ago. The informant described in graphic detail how he allegedly observed Lombard molesting an African-American child on four occasions over an Internet video chat service called ICUii.
The informant said, according to court papers, that Lombard, who is white, said that he lived in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and that the child was one of two adopted African-Americans in his custody.
Lombard has been charged with attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child, punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Lombard allegedly used the adult Internet service to conduct his video chats. According to an affidavit in support of the arrest warrant, the Internet service indicated that Lombard's profile "stated he was interested in "perv fam fun," a reference to "incestuous child molestation." The service also told investigators that a customer service complaint had been sent to the company in January 2007. A customer who had chatted with Lombard complained to the company that Lombard said he was "into incest" and had adopted two African-American children, court records said.
A Washington, D.C., police detective who was investigating the case set up undercover chats with someone matching Lombard's description during which the detective says he was invited to fly to Raleigh to have sex with the person's 5- year-old adopted child. In his affidavit, Det. Timothy Palchak wrote that he engaged in a chat with someone using the screen name "FL" who provided nude pictures of himself. An unidentified informant who already faces child porn charges in a different child sex case pointed investigators to Lombard, according to court documents. The informant told investigators he had met Lombard on the Internet four years ago. The informant described in graphic detail how he allegedly observed Lombard molesting an African-American child on four occasions over an Internet video chat service called ICUii.
The informant said, according to court papers, that Lombard, who is white, said that he lived in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and that the child was one of two adopted African-Americans in his custody.
Lombard has been charged with attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child, punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Lombard allegedly used the adult Internet service to conduct his video chats. According to an affidavit in support of the arrest warrant, the Internet service indicated that Lombard's profile "stated he was interested in "perv fam fun," a reference to "incestuous child molestation." The service also told investigators that a customer service complaint had been sent to the company in January 2007. A customer who had chatted with Lombard complained to the company that Lombard said he was "into incest" and had adopted two African-American children, court records said.
A Washington, D.C., police detective who was investigating the case set up undercover chats with someone matching Lombard's description during which the detective says he was invited to fly to Raleigh to have sex with the person's 5- year-old adopted child. In his affidavit, Det. Timothy Palchak wrote that he engaged in a chat with someone using the screen name "FL" who provided nude pictures of himself. New Show on BET?
Now I will admit to having prejudices prematurely about these two sista's and their new reality show. Well after watching the sneak preview last night I was quite surprised that the show portrays these two women as actual woman with struggles, fears, hope and faith. The sneak preview really help me to change my biased opinion before even knowing what the show was about...some of you may still not watch and I may be one of them the lesson here is really to not judge a book by it's cover...

For volcano experts, the most exciting part of the image is the layer of smooth white cloud that caps the plume - a little like a layer of snow on a mushroom.

This is so sad I grew up watching Farrah Fawcett and my own grandmother succumbed to colon cancer some years ago...may her family and friends find peace and strength during this trying time.

Grammy-winning actor/rapper Coolio (born Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) was reportedly arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday afternoon and booked for possession of narcotics, according to Reuters.
The rapper and reality TV star, best known for his 1995 hit "Gangsta's Paradise," was going through airport security to get to his Southwest Airlines flight when a screener found crack cocaine on his body, TMZ reported.
Citing unnamed sources, TMZ reported that when confronted, Coolio allegedly got "physical" with the screener and was then booked for suspicion of cocaine possession.
The LAX Police Department released this statement on the incident: "At approximately 10:38 a.m., rap star 'Coolio,' real name Artis Leon Ivey, Jr., 45, was taken into custody for possession of illegal substance in Terminal 1. He is en route to the Pacific Division station for booking."
A spokesperson for the LAPD said they had no further information at press time on what substance the rapper was allegedly in possession of or if the potential charge is a felony or misdemeanor count.
Coolio has not had a chart hit in nearly a decade, but he has made a second career as an actor, appearing on "Charmed" and "Futurama," as well as a number of reality shows, including "Celebrity Fear Factor," "Celebrity Bootcamp" and the recent online cooking show, "Cookin' With Coolio." Last year, he and his family starred in the Oxygen network reality show "Coolio's Rules," and he was seen in the British "Celebrity Big Brother" program in January, alongside such C-list celebrities as LaToya Jackson, buxom English pinup Lucy Pinder and Verne Troyer.

North Korea renewed its threat today to launch nuclear missile attacks against the United States.
A U.S. Navy destroyer is currently tailing a N. Korea ship off the coast of China. The ship is believed to be transporting missiles.
The new U.N. Security Council resolution requires member states to seek permission to stop ships and inspect suspicious cargo. North Korea has let it be known that if their ship is stopped by the U.S. it will consider that action an act of of war.
“If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will… wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all,” the official Korean Central News Agency said.
Now here’s the good news (sort of): the North Koreans don’t have long range missiles that can reach the U.S. So NKorea has announced plans to invade and capture Hawaii on the 4th of July in order to use Hawaii as its base from which to launch attacks against the U.S.
You can see by the map how close Hawaii is to California. As you can imagine, the residents of Hawaii are more than a little worried. Especially since native son Obama seems to be more concerned with kissing the butts of Mideast terrorists than he is about them.
At any rate, the U.S. military is busy moving missile detection systems and personnel to Hawaii in the event that North Korea isn’t bluffing.

What one does know is that the world will end and if the state of affairs occuring now in our world don't make you sense this then it's time to think outside the box.

"On April 1, 1984, I received a call from my friend Cliff. I immediately heard something strange in his voice. He said, "Marvin Gaye has just been shot and killed." I reeled from shock and disbelief.
Cliff asked, where is little Marvin?" "Oh, no," I said, with a renewed bolt of anguish. "He and Eddie went out to eat." I was heartsick. Marvin III had spent the night at our place and had left a few hours ago with Eddie. Any minute now the news would be blasting on the stereo in Eddie's car. The boys had even talked of dropping by and saying hello to Marvin's father.
I made my first phone call. "Anna, is what I heard true?" She sounded solemn, almost sedated, answering, "Yes, it is."
For an excruciating hour, I stood at the window, praying that Marvin III would be spared the unspeakable devastation of hearing it on the radio. At last, I held my breath as Eddie's car pulled up. Music was pouring out the windows and when the two got out they were dancing and laughing.
I met them at the door. "Marvin, go in the bedroom and call your mother. I watched him trot off to the phone. I took Eddie into the other bedroom. On hearing the news, Eddie's knees buckled.
It was a long time before Marvin III emerged from the bedroom, moving very slowly, fighting to hold back his sorrow, only one tear glistened his cheek. We stood together silently, lending our presence, we were unable to speak. We were quiet for a long time and then little Marvin bit his lip and said, "You know my father told me not to cry. He told me when I saw him last week, that if anything happened to him, not to cry. To just go ahead and really do great in school and get ahead in life.

She had to be carried back home on a stretcher and died the next day. No one was ever directly to link Crowley to her death.
But Arnold-Forster wasn't the only person struck down that evening. Next to her immobile body, authorities found Mrs. Vaughn's husband, John, who had gone out of his mind. He spent the rest of his life in a mental asylum, raving about what he'd seen that night.

How Crowley was able to accomplish this remains a mystery.

Aleister Crowley died of a respiratory infection in a Hastings boarding house on 1 December 1947 at the age of 72. He and his last doctor died within 24 hours of each other; newspapers would claim, in differing accounts, that Dr. Thomson had refused to continue his opiate prescription and that Crowley had put a curse on him.

Music impressario and Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri and singer Janet Jackson are reportedly splitting.
The National Enquirer says Jackson and Dupri, who have been together for four years and were reportedly pondering marriage, began battling over her recent tour — managed by Dupri — which was a dismal failure, with a string of canceled concerts due to poor ticket sales.The Enquirer, citing unnamed sources, said the fading superstar, 36, has moved out of Dupri’s Los Angeles home.
“Janet and Jermaine finally hit a wall,” the source was quoted as saying. “They were fighting over his management of her career. In the end, she decided to make a break.”Whatever their future, Dupri won’t be able to easily forget Jackson. INTRODUCTION:
In the gambling business, the highest of high rollers are referred to as "whales," and Japanese gambler Akio Kashiwagi, nicknamed "The Warrior," was one of the biggest whales on the planet. In 1990, Kashiwagi took on Donald Trump in an epic battle waged at Trump's baccarat tables. An agreement was made that Kashiwagi would gamble a stake of $12 million until he either lost it all or doubled it.
The Warrior reportedly wagered at a rate of $14 miIlion per hour, and at one point was ahead almost $7 million. His luck didn't hold, however. The "freeze out" agreement was ultimately aborted over a credit dispute. Media accounts indicate that Trump triumphed to the tune of $9 million.

Akio Kashiwagi a.k.a. "The Warrior"(1938-1992) was a wealthy Tokyo-based real estate investor who was famous for the large amounts of money he wagered at Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos.
Kashiwagi owned a home and office in Tokyo, out of which he ran his business, Kashiwagi Shoji Co. He stated he was the sole principal of this real estate and investment business. He claimed an income of a hundred million dollars a year and a billion dollars in assets, but his finances were so secretive that a credit review for casino officials declared his profession only as "Business."
Kashiwagi regularly played baccarat for large sums, betting $100,000 or $200,000 dollars a hand on the game, for hours at a time. He got into a legal wrangle with Donald Trump's Atlantic City casino in 1990 over a deal in which Kashiwagi was to bet $12 million.
Kashiwagi left the casino with two million dollars in chips, having lost ten million. He claimed the casino had failed to hold up its end of the deal.
On January 3, 1992 Akio was killed, stabbed as many as 150 times with a samurai sword.
His body was discovered in his home near Mount Fuji. At the time of his death, Akio still had casino debts of several million dollars.
In the film Casino, the character of K.K. Ichikawa (Nobu Matsuhisa), the Japanese high roller, is based on real-life Akio Kashiwagi.

The number of people killed in last night's deadly Red Line crash has risen to seven, Metro officials said this morning, shortly after five bodies were removed from the mangled wreckage.
The train that slammed into the back of another during the height of evening rush hour, injuring at least 76, was comprised of older-model rail cars that lacked data recorders and which federal safety officials had said years ago should be improved or phased out.
This tragedy could've been prevented had Metro taken heed to what Federal Safety Officials advised years earlier...why would Metro be allowed to have those trains running if they were not up to safety standards? How is that Metro increases the fare annually and can't afford to modernize their equipment? Why are there families now mourning their losses of loved ones?
Only God knows.
