More Whitney!

More tidbits are emerging from today’s Oprah interview with Whitney Houston:
- Whitney contends ex-husband Bobby Brown was emotionally abusive during their marriage and at one point spit on her. Houston told Winfrey she “was horrified he spit on me, in my face” and that left her “very hurt, very angry.”
-Whitney says Bobby wasn’t physically abusive, but she adds “he slapped me once, but he got hit on the head three times by me.”
-”He was my drug,” Whitney told Oprah. “I didn’t do anything without him.”
-But she was also addicted to drugs. She says it got so bad that her mother enlisted sheriff’s deputies to force the singer into rehab. Mom Cissy Houston said, ‘I’m not losing you to the world. I’m not losing you to Satan. … I want my daughter back,’ ” Houston recalls.
-Bobby was there at the time. “She said, ‘If you move, Bobby, they’re gonna take you down. Don’t you make one move,’ ” Houston tells Winfrey. “And he stood there like — he was scared.”

Angelina Jolie is jealous of Rachel McAdams.
The 34-year-old actress reportedly “laid down the law” when Brad Pitt invited The Time Traveler’s Wife star and a few of his friends to Chateau Miraval, their home in the South of France.
“Angelina has been jealous of Rachel ever since she found some photos of her on Brad’s camera, which he had taken at the New York after-party,” a source tells In Touch Weekly magazine. “When Angie found out Brad had invited Rachel without asking her first, she went ballistic. She pulled Brad to one side and called him every name under the sun.

The sad news keeps pouring in.
It appears Jessica Simpson’s prized pup Daisy has gone missing. And by missing we mean it was likely attacked by a coyote.
After posting this missing dog poster in her Twitter page, Jessica tweeted: “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!
Our suggestion? Look inside the coyote’s belly. Just sayin’….

Patrick Swayze
has died according to his publicist. He was 57.
The news broke back in March 2008 that the actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which spread to his internal organs. At that time media reports quoted a source who said he had only 5 weeks to live.
But Swayze vowed to fight the disease, and together with his wife Lisa Niemi, who both had pilot’s licenses, they flew to Stanford University Medical Center in California on the weekends for chemotherapy treatments.
By April 2008, the actor was well enough to continue working on a television series, The Beast, which premiered on A&E on January 15, 2009. Swayze was a heavy smoker who was frequently spotted lighting up on the set of his show. He told Barabara Walters that he seriously cut back on his smoking habit, though he hadn’t quit.
“I will go so far as to say probably smoking had something to do with my pancreatic cancer,” he told Walters.
After suffering a mild heart attack earlier this month, the actor left a hospital and went home to his Los Angeles home to die. His publicist said he passed away today (9/14).
Swayze’s best known roles were To Wong Foo, Ghost and Dirty Dancing.
Swayze originally thought he was suffering from gastroenteritis after he began spitting up blood in January 2008. Symptoms of pancreatic cancer tend to appear at a late stage when the cancer has already spread to other organs.
The symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever, chills and severe upper abdominal pain that sometimes radiates to the back and right shoulder.
Pancreatic cancer is usually diagnosed in men 55 and older.

Convicted: 43 Years

A former Palo Alto High School student who played running back on the football team and once tried to join the Marines was sentenced Friday to 43 years to life in prison for kidnapping a 17-year-old girl off the street from his old neighborhood and sexually assaulting her.
Todd David Burpee, 22, was convicted in May by a Santa Clara County jury of attacking the Gunn High School student Oct. 30, 2007. The girl was beaten as she locked her bike outside her home on Arastradero Road after school, dragged into a car and sexually assaulted. The jury acquitted Burpee of attempted murder.
Burpee held the girl captive for 90 minutes before the bloodied victim managed to run from his car in Sunnyvale.
Burpee was arrested two days later as he waited with his girlfriend in the drive-through lane at a Wendy's restaurant in San Jose. His last known address was in San Jose, but he apparently had been bouncing from one residence to another, police said.
He was convicted of two counts of assault with the intent of rape or sexual penetration, two counts of felony assault, one count of kidnapping for the purpose of sexual assault and one count of sexual penetration by force. He was also found guilty of enhancements alleging he caused great bodily injury.
Judge Griffin Bonini sentenced Burpee in Santa Clara County Superior Court in San Jose. Burpee will not be eligible for parole until he is 60 years old, said Amy Cornell, spokeswoman for District Attorney Dolores Carr.
Burpee played on the football team and ran track for Palo Alto High during his sophomore and junior years. He expressed an intention to go into the Marines after graduation in 2006, according to an article that June in the student newspaper.
He contacted the Marines in November 2005 about joining, but failed the armed services aptitude test in December of that year, the military service said. The test covers topics including vocabulary, paragraph comprehension and mathematics.

TRUE CRIME GALLERY: "SOCCER COACH MURDERS MODEL GIRLFRIEND"
Gushing blood from multiple knife wounds, a 19-year-old model and actress (2nd photo) condemned her live-in lover (1st photo) as her attacker-with her dying words.
Soccer coach Ricardo Morrison, 22, stabbed Amy Barnes in her face and chest and left her to bleed to death.
On a 10-minute 911 tape, the court heard Barnes beg for help between long screams of agony. When the female dispatcher asked her who stabbed her, she replied: "My boyfriend," before she lost consciousness and died.
For seven months before the horrible homicide, Barnes suffered continual physical abuse at the hands of Morrison. He beat her, held knives to her throat, smothered her with pillows and locked her in rooms-all for fear that she might leave him and find another man.
When Barnes finally broke up with Morrison, he beat her up and left her locked in their home in Farnworth, England. Barnes desperately called her parents for help but Morrison returned and launched the fatal attack before her father arrived.
After the murder, Morrison ran to the home of his mother, police officer Melda Wilks, who let him use her washing machine to clean his bloody clothes. Somehow, Wilks escaped criminal charges but may still face disciplinary action after an internal police investigation.
Meanwhile, her son has been sentenced to 24-years-to-life for murder.

Houston We had A Problem...

Whitney Houston was so hooked on hard drugs, she dreaded the thought of leaving her home.
In a candid new interview with Oprah Winfrey, which airs tomorrow, the singer reveals her struggles with crack cocaine during her marriage to Bobby Brown, and tells how she could not bring herself to get dressed for seven months.
The 46 year old admits to the talk show host that her life began to spiral out of control after the phenomenal success of 1992 movie The Bodyguard.
And Houston also reveals she allowed Brown to step into the spotlight during their 14-year marriage-even though it meant putting her own ambitions on hold.
Winfrey says, "It (the interview) will leave you gasping. She does not blame Bobby Brown and she takes full responsibility for her engagement in drugs.
"At one point she says, 'I didn't get out of my pajamas for seven months.' She talks about doing the drugs and sitting in the house, the two of them going, 'What are we doing?'
"She said, 'I want to tell my story, I want to tell the truth.' She talks about when it started to go wrong after The Bodyguard-that was a long time ago.
"The thing most shocking to me is that Whitney tried to make herself smaller to fit in a marriage so the man could be bigger. How many women have done that? I deeply felt for her.
She was trying to be the good wife. She really, truly loved him."
