"THE UNEXPLAINED" (A MEDICAL MYSTERY)
Three times a day, Tennessee teen Calvino Inman cries tears of blood. He says: "I can feel it coming up, I feel my eyes watering, sometimes the tears burn."
At other times, the episodes happen without warning and can last up to an hour.
This unusual affliction has made him the object of ridicule among his classmates. Other kids are often scared by the sight of his eyes filling with blood and the droplets rolling down his cheeks.
Doctors have a name for Calvino's rare condition-haemolacria, which literally means "bloody tears." But they have no idea what's causing it.
